Job summary

Change Grow Live in Reading is recruiting a warm and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our service. You will greet visitors, support admin tasks and help maintain a welcoming, tidy reception area.

The role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), a fixed-term contract to 31 March 2027, and opportunities for training and development within a supportive charity. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • As first point of contact, ensure service users and visitors receive a friendly and efficient service.
  • Contribute to upkeep of client areas, ensuring the reception is welcoming and tidy.
  • Maintain client information displayed in the reception area is tidy, current and relevant.
  • Encourage service user feedback and the use of the suggestion box.
  • Provide basic advice and information on the service offer.
  • Contribute to managing an effective appointment system, liaising with keyworkers.
  • Check appointments on the information system and book future appointments for service users.
  • Take messages for staff and update case management contacts where appropriate.
  • Support the team in managing/booking appointments via the electronic diary system.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contacts on case management systems.
  • Assist with admin, record-keeping and communication within the wider admin team.

Responsibilities
About the role
