Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a friendly Receptionist for its Reading clubs to provide a welcoming experience for members and guests. You will be the first point of contact, greet visitors professionally, and keep the reception area well-presented.

You will answer calls, take messages, assist with member sign-ins, and coordinate appointments for the admin team while ensuring health and safety policies are followed. A GCSE qualification and service experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a polite, professional manner and ensure the reception area is tidy.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate team, and take messages as needed.
• Register members and assist with signing in or card swipes.
• Schedule appointments for the administrative team and arrange special services as required.
• Handle payments and charges for services and address customer inquiries or complaints.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and contribute to smooth front-of-house operations.

The Role:
We are looking for a friendly and efficient Receptionist to join our team and provide a welcoming experience for all members and guests. You will be the first point of contact for anyone visiting the Club, greeting customers in a polite and professional manner and ensuring the reception area is always tidy and well-presented.

In this role, you will answer incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate team members, and take messages as needed. You will also assist with the registration of members, ensuring they are properly signed in or their membership cards are swiped. Additionally, you will schedule appointments for the administrative team and assist with arranging special services for members and guests when required.
You will handle payments and charges for services, address any customer complaints, and ensure that all health and safety policies are followed. You will also perform general office duties and contribute to the smooth running of the front of house operations.

Experience & Skills Required:

• GCSE qualification.
• Previous experience in service-oriented position desirable.

Schedule:

• We operate a 7-days a week business, between 0600 to 2300
• Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours - weekends and bank holidays
• Evening availability for functions (until 0200)
