About the role

At Sodexo, we’re passionate about people and have our customers at the heart of everything we do. Our admin colleagues run an efficient service for our clients, and we currently have a vacancy for a Receptionist to join our busy team at St James Park, Newcastle Upon-Tyne.

As the first face many will see, you’ll be a role model for excellent customer service. You’ll have polite and cheerful mannerisms, always creating a memorable experience for our customers and visitors!

Previous experience in a customer-facing role is ideal, but if you have great people and IT skills, we’d love to hear from you!

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist with administration relating to matchdays, including menus, drinks lists, signage, training material, and collateral.
  • Provide warm, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service to all visitors.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments on site, including NUFC and Sodexo.
  • Handle all calls politely, ensure messages are communicated promptly.
  • Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and presentable, with current marketing material displayed.
  • Complete daily business lists for the following day.
  • Handle, collate, and take payment for bookings and events.
  • Manage internal mail and post daily.
  • Order and manage stationery supplies.
  • Notify relevant departments of guest arrivals, deliveries, and vehicle arrivals.
  • Work matchdays and events as required.
  • Perform any other reasonable requests.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Confident in Microsoft Office.
  • Polite and professional telephone manner.
  • Experience in front of house roles and administration.
  • Organized, able to multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Experience in stadia, sports, or leisure environments is a plus.
