Phoenix Hospital Group are looking for a Receptionist to join our front of house team within our Harley Street Clinics.

Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, the successful Receptionist will be responsible for coordinating the patient's journey during their time at the clinic, with exceptional attention to detail to ensure a seamless delivery of clinical services. Excellent customer service skills face to face and over the telephone are an essential part of this role.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Accurately and promptly input data into clinic administration systems to support efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinate the patient journey during their time at the clinic, ensuring clear communication and discreet handling of information in line with GDPR policies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas to reflect the clinics high standards.
  • Handle cash transactions and invoices in line with established procedures, ensuring all revenue is captured.
  • Oversee incoming post and supplies to the clinic.
  • Monitor building security and maintain awareness of all personnel entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide additional support to other areas of the clinic when required.
  • Using the computer system to confirm and amend patients registration details;
  • Admissions, discharges, charging and processing of patient payments;
  • Supporting the admin team when required;
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to deliver an outstanding service.

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday shifts as required.

Shifts: Rotational shift pattern between 06:30-20:00.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar front of house or reception role.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic records management.
  • Calm, professional, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Experience in a public-facing reception environment.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and confidentiality protocols
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience working within a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles
