A healthcare provider in Great Yarmouth is seeking a receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to perform various administrative tasks efficiently. Candidates must have GCSEs including English and Maths, along with experience in a medical setting. This is a full-time position offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
We are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our busy GPpractice who will be the first point of contact for patients, contractors, andvisitors as well as carrying out general office management tasks.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.
We pride ourselves in offering afriendly, efficient and professional service for approximately 25,000 patientsoperating over 3 sites, two sites are in Gorleston and one in Hopton.
The practicehas a dynamic team of GPs, ANPs, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians,Practice Nurses, HCA's, Phlebotomist, a Managerial team and administrativesupport staff.
We are activemembers of the Gorleston Primary Care Network.
We are a wellestablished training practice, involved with GP Registrars, Foundation Year 2trainees. Also, an accredited research practice.
We have CQC rating of "Good"
You will be responsible for the general reception duties within thePractice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures toprovide a comprehensive high-quality service and deal efficiently and courteouslywith patient enquiries.
Also, have excellent communication skills, a compassionate andfriendly nature who can operate in a busy environment with a range of peopleand professions, as you will be working our clinical and administration teams.
Administration
To have a thorough knowledge ofall Practice procedures.
To work in accordance withwritten protocols.
Processing electronicdocuments.
Pulling/filing notes when necessary andupdate as required.
Reception
Greeting and helping patients with any enquiries.
Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patients and checking names and addresses.
Covering all reception positions within the whole practice as necessary.
Appointments
Process appointment andvisit requests from patients by telephone, online and in person
Computer
Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medicalrecords.
Process patients change of address computer data and medicalrecords
Understand the layoutand significance of Practice boundary.
Process repeat prescriptionrequests in accordance with practice guidelines.
Telephone
Have working knowledgeof telephone system, during and after hours.
Other Tasks
Ensure building security have thorough knowledge ofdoors/windows/alarm. Understand fire drill and panic alarm procedure.
Stock up clinical room.
Make coffee forDoctors/colleagues.
Anyother tasks allocated by senior staff
Attendall training required by the organisation.
Chaperone clinical staffwhen requested
