Role Description

Receptionist

Location: Cavendish Dental, 57 West Bars, Chesterfield, S40 1BA

Hours: 24 hours per week

As a Receptionist, you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer, welcoming them, understanding their feelings, and ensuring they have a great experience. First impressions matter.

You will work alongside every team member, building trust through efficiency, accuracy, and people skills. You must be a great communicator, able to talk clearly and calmly with patients both in person and over the phone. You should handle concerns and queries regarding treatments, including pricing and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
  • Managing the diaries to ensure proper scheduling
  • Understanding the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
  • Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within specified timescales
  • Processing payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
  • Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies, and other organizations
Key Skills and Experience
  • Ability to build rapport and deliver high customer service
  • Passion and ability to learn about dental treatment options
  • Motivated to drive practice success by seizing opportunities
  • Ability to follow structured processes and work in an organized manner
  • Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture, rebooking)
  • IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent team player
