This role is based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

The Receptionist role is responsible for attending patient on arrival, making nursing staff aware if needed, checking patient details are correct, dealing with many quires face-to-face and over the phone, booking appointments and any other clerical duties required within this role.

Working hours 30 hours per week,

Working pattern Mon 9-5pm -Tues 9-5pm -Wed 9-5pm -Fri 11.30-7.30pm

Main duties of the job
  • The Receptionist role is responsible for attending patient on arrival
  • T o liaise with wards, clinical staff, GPs and Trust support staff in person, via telephone and email as and when necessary

- To show a caring and professional approach towards patients and visitors when carrying out reception and appointment duties

- Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role’s line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
