This school is seeking a caring and committed Reception Year Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Early Years team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children at a vital stage in their development and play a key role in their early learning journey. Beginning June 2025.
Duties as a Reception Year Teaching Assistant:
Work alongside the class teacher to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Support children’s learning and development through play, interaction, and structured activities.
Help to create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Assist with setting up activities, preparing resources, and maintaining a safe and tidy learning space.
Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to their learning profiles.
Support children with personal care routines when required.
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ideal Reception Year Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS or Reception setting.
A relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable).
A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Good communication and teamwork skills as a Reception Year Teaching Assistant.
An understanding of child development and safeguarding best practices.
