Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is recruiting a Reception Class Teaching Assistant in Cardiff for the Foundation Phase. You will work with a busy class of 4- to 5-year-olds, supporting learning indoors and outdoors and delivering phonics and early literacy interventions.

Holders of Level 2/3 TA credentials (or working towards one) who are registered with the EWC or willing to register are invited to apply. DBS with Update Service is preferred, enhanced checks welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Foundation Phase or Early Years settings.
• Level 2 or Level 3 TA/Childcare qualification, or working towards one.
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children in small groups and 1:1, indoors and outdoors.
• Help deliver phonics, early numeracy and literacy interventions.
• Support pupils with ALN, including personal care where required.
• Prepare resources and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Encourage independence, positive behaviour and wellbeing; supervise breaks.
