Job Title: Reception Teaching Assistant

Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable individual looking to make a real difference in early years education? We are seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shepherd's Bush starting September 2025.



About the Role:

As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You'll play a key role in helping children settle into school life, foster curiosity, and build strong foundations for learning.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils' learning through small group work and one-to-one interventions

  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom activities and resources

  • Encouraging and supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development

  • Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Supporting children with additional needs as required

  • Liaising effectively with staff and parents



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably within a school or early years setting

  • A warm and patient manner with a genuine passion for working with children

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive and flexible approach to teamwork

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant) is desirable
