Essential qualifications and experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (or on track to obtain it by the end of the year)
• Experience teaching in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2

Knowledge and understanding

• Effective provision for the individual needs of children, including classroom organization and learning strategies
• Statutory National Curriculum requirements at the relevant key stage
• Monitoring, assessment, recording, and reporting of pupil progress
• Legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN, and Child Protection
• Effective teaching and learning strategies and positive links within the school community

Skills

• Promote the school’s aims and monitor motivation and morale effectively
• Build good personal relationships within a team
• Establish strong relationships with parents, governors, and the community
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to diverse audiences
