The School

Reception Teacher Responsibilities:
  1. Creating and executing daily lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and tailored to the individual needs of Reception students.
  2. Creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment for young children.
  3. Embracing and supporting diversity within the classroom.
  4. Fostering a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, and welcoming.
  5. Engaging with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and concerns.
  6. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver an excellent educational experience.
  7. Maintaining regular communication with the leadership team about lesson plans, assessments, and student progress.
  8. Ensuring students understand the school's core philosophies, values, and expectations.
Reception Teacher Requirements:
  1. QTS, EYTS, or PGCE with a strong academic record.
  2. Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  3. A relevant bachelor’s degree in education.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. At least 2-3 years of experience teaching Reception-aged children.
  6. Thorough knowledge of the early years curriculum, with the ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons effectively.
  7. Ability to create a warm, stimulating learning environment that fosters a love of learning.
  8. Strong relationships with children, parents/carers, and staff.
  9. A passion for education and a commitment to professional development.
Reception Teacher Salary

The salary will be paid according to the MPS/UPS pay scale on a permanent contract.
