Reception Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Nuneaton
Daily Rate: 150 - 210
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Hours: Full Time - 8:00am to 4:00pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Maternity Cover

We are working with a vibrant, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join them from September 2025 to cover a maternity leave. The role is ideal for a teacher who has recently completed their ECT induction and is looking to continue their development in a supportive and forward-thinking setting.

The Role: Reception Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Take full responsibility for a Reception class within the EYFS framework
Plan and deliver engaging, child-led activities that support early learning goals
Track and assess pupil progress using observation-based assessment
Create a warm and stimulating classroom environment with a focus on early development
Work closely with the EYFS team, SENCO and parents to ensure consistent support for all learners
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies in line with school expectations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS and completion of ECT Induction
Proven experience teaching in an EYFS setting
A creative and nurturing approach to early years teaching
Confidence managing classroom routines and individual learning journeys
Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
Knowledge of phonics (Read Write Inc or similar) and early maths frameworks
