Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting to support a Reception pupil with SEND on a temporary basis in Newcastle. You will work 1:1 to enable access to learning, build confidence and foster key social and emotional skills throughout the school day.

The role involves supporting engagement in routines, encouraging independence and positive interactions, and collaborating with the class teacher and wider staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of inclusion and personalised support.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with SEND.
• Support pupil engagement in classroom activities and routines.
• Encourage communication, independence and positive interactions.
• Work closely with the class teacher and support staff.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
