Job description
Overview

The SLT take wellbeing and workload very seriously and this is clear in the work they do towards supporting staff. More information can be found at the William Harding School staff wellbeing page.

As a year group, the team share workload to support wellbeing, in areas such as shared planning, extra-curricular activities, resources, displays and other tasks.

We offer a rigorous CPD program in which teachers take part in weekly CPD based on the needs of the school in staff meetings and on inset days. In addition to this, we offer bespoke training for the needs of staff.

Other staff to support you
  • Each year group has a Lead Teaching Assistant who will line manage teaching assistants and support the boosting of pupils' outcomes.
  • The FLO (Family Liaison Officer) team are around to support with children's pastoral needs as well as our School Counsellor.
  • The SEN team offer support and guidance and work with pupils.
  • The ELT (Extended Leadership Team) work across Year groups to support the team.
  • The Support Administrator will liaise with parents on your behalf, support you with admin and lead on organising trips.
  • The Inclusion and Community AHT can also support with behaviour, parents and events.
Wellbeing and workload
  • We pride ourselves on our wellbeing offer at William Harding and it is our mission to support the workload and wellbeing of all staff. Some of the things we offer include:
  • Workload and wellbeing committee to raise wellbeing ideas
  • Workload and wellbeing trials to test ideas before rolling out across the school
  • Open door policy with line managers, ELT and SLT
  • Onsite counsellors
  • External support including EAP
  • Wellbeing focus and opportunities in training and staff meetings
  • Wellbeing focus as part of staff appraisals
  • Wellbeing afternoons each term
