Primary Class Teacher - Reception

Location: Kingstanding, Birmingham
Start Date: 1 September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (Ongoing)
Salary: Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale (MPS-UPS)

About the Role

Empowering Learning is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Kingstanding to recruit a Reception Class Teacher for September 2025. This Reception Class Teacher role is full-time, long-term role offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative setting with shared planning across the year group, along with the possibility of transitioning from temporary to permanent at the end of the academic year 2026.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience within UK primary education
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly at EYFS level
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Be reflective, enthusiastic, and open to continuous professional growth
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
