Job summary

The Ivy in London is inviting applications for a Reception Class Teacher to join our early years team. You will plan and deliver a child-centred EYFS curriculum, track progress and work closely with parents to support learning at home and at school.

We value experienced educators with QTS and a deep EYFS understanding, and we may offer a position on the Upper Pay Scale (UPS) for exceptional practice and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant EYFS experience.
• Deep understanding of how young children learn within the revised EYFS framework.
• An expert practitioner who can create an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent skills in monitoring progress and early intervention.
• Collaborative educator ready to share best practices and contribute to school culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a child-centred EYFS curriculum.
• Track children's development using observation and assessment to support rapid progress.
• Maintain safe, stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Model exemplary practice and mentor early-career colleagues (UPS candidates).
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school impact.
