A healthcare organization in Tees Valley is seeking a friendly reception team member for Martonside Medical Centre. The role includes welcoming patients, making appointments, and managing records. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and a proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in a similar environment is preferred. We are looking for a teamplayer to join our friendly reception team at Martonside Medical Centre. We are based in purpose built premises opposite James Cook University Hospital.
Welcoming and receiving people with general enquiries,explaining surgery procedures, making new and follow up appointments, dealingwith requests for repeat prescriptions and recording requests for home visits.
Open / stamp / distribute post received from externalsources
Directing patients to the appropriate doctor, nurses,midwife and any other professionals using the practice premises
Answer the telephone, make appointments for thepatients to see Clinicians and answering all non-clinical telephone queries.
Arrange ambulance booking at doctor and patientrequest.
Ensure all messages that are to be passed on areinitiated, dated and timed by you.
Forward any outstanding messages to relevant staffpresent.
Forward all relevant messages to deputising servicewhen activating out of hours service.
Opening the building / disarming the alarm system whenentering on a morning as per rota.
Setting the alarm system and ensuring the building issecure when leaving if appropriate.
Enter details into Post book and ensure that post isposted promptly and safely.
The Ironopolis Medical Group was formed through the administrative merger of Martonside Medical Centre (7900 patients) and The Endeavour Practice (9300 patients) in June 2017.
This position is for Martonside Medical Centre. The group has 5 GP partners and a management partner. Both sites are training practices.
