1625 Independent People is seeking a Team Leader for Reboot West, a project aimed at supporting care experienced young people. The role involves providing leadership to a team, managing relationships with stakeholders, and delivering high-quality support to young people based in North Somerset.
We are excited to be recruiting a Team Leader into our Reboot West Team. Do you believe that a consistent, relationship-based, values-led support model is the best way to achieve sustained education, employment and training outcomes for young people? Are you a passionate, experienced, and dynamic practitioner looking for an opportunity to motivate, inspire and lead a busy team during a new and developing phase of a project?
The Reboot project supports care experienced young people from four local authority areas into meaningful and sustained education, employment, and training. The Reboot support model uses a youth version of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The ACT approach focuses on supporting young people to recognise their own values and determine their goals and aspirations.
In 2023, 1625 Independent People secured pioneering and prestigious funding to support a further 265 care experienced young people for up to 3 years, whilst also undertaking the largest and strongest evaluation ever of a youth unemployment programme of this type. The intention of this evaluation is to test if a long-term therapeutic support model is better for young people, whilst being more cost effective for the government and so to change the system nationally.
We are currently looking for a full-time Team Leader to provide line management for our Reboot Coaches, support the operational management of the project and hold a small caseload of young people based in North Somerset.
Please find full details of how to apply via our website in the advert below. The deadline for application submissions is 23:59, Wednesday 19 June 2025.
We are striving to better represent the young people we support and therefore are particularly keen to increase applications from Black/Black British and Muslim candidates as they are currently under-represented in our organisation. We also encourage applications from people with relevant lived experience.
If you need an adjustment to be made to any part of the recruitment process, please let us know as soon as possible.
Who are we?

At 1625ip we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives.
What you will be doing:

If you have transferrable skills and you are interested in this role, but you are worried about the application process, please get in touch with us. We encourage you to have an informal chat with the recruiting manager to discuss how your personal or professional experience and skills could be transferred to this role. Details of how you can do that are further down in this advert.
