Salary: £52,285 - £60,730 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance and other benefits

Role Overview

We are seeking a Real Time Systems Field Engineer responsible for maintenance and fault rectification of SCADA & Teleprotection equipment at SSEN substations, radio sites, and communication rooms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform maintenance and fault rectification of RTS equipment
2. Manage Local & Wide Area Networks
3. Support installation, setup, and commissioning of SCADA systems
4. Assist with supervision and installation of new projects and technology
5. Participate in emergency standby support rota

Candidate Requirements

1. Understanding of RTUs like Schneider, ABB, ZIF
2. Experience with deploying IP-connected devices, including radio, satellite, fibre optic, and copper networks, teleprotection, automation, LV wiring
3. Apprenticeship or training in telecommunications, IT, electrical, or electronic engineering
4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and in teams, with a full driving license
