Job summary

Icon Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the Icon Payments Framework (IPF) for real-time payments. You will work in agile teams, delivering high-quality Java applications using AKKA and Spring, with a focus on asynchronous, distributed systems and event-driven design.

You will participate in CI/CD pipelines, contribute to product engineering, and share best practices while supporting clients and maintaining IPF knowledge resources.

Qualifications

• Strong JAVA 11+ skills with Spring framework and surrounding technologies.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling Building for high availability/resilient distributed systems.
• Experience of event sourced/driven solutions.
• Experience in automation using Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes.
• Agile delivery experience e.g. Kanban/Scrum and Jira/Confluence.
• Willingness to be on the Level 4 on call support rota (1 week in 4).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of IPF based applications for clients, following Kanban values.
• Lead projects and contribute to development lifecycle as per client needs using Java, AKKA and Spring.
• Triage client issues and provide handover to IPF support and client education.
• Help develop IPF client knowledgebase and coach customers.
