Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking an engineer to join a small, specialised team responsible for a real-time risk and trading data platform powering systematic strategies.

You will work at the intersection of distributed systems, market data, and quantitative trading, designing high-reliability platforms handling large volumes with strict latency and accuracy requirements. You will own systems end-to-end in a latency-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals (degree in CS or equivalent).
• 4+ years building production software or data systems.
• Experience with high-volume data pipelines and distributed services.
• Ownership mindset to take complex systems from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Engineer high-performance, distributed systems that power real-time risk and trading data.
• Build scalable analytics platforms and data pipelines for risk and P&L insights.
• Architect mission-critical trading infrastructure to automate workflows across derivatives and multi-asset portfolios.
• Solve hard engineering problems at the intersection of systems and finance with traders and researchers.
• Own systems end-to-end from architecture and deployment to reliability and evolution in a latency-sensitive environment.
