Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Software Developer to build and enhance the core infrastructure powering a global data ecosystem. You will focus on real-time stream processing, cloud infrastructure, release management and storage solutions within the Platform Engineering Data Platform team.

The role involves real-time streaming, scalable services, and a focus on low-latency, highly available solutions using Golang, Kafka, Flink, GCP, Spanner and BigQuery. Hybrid work from home is supported.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
• Background in using Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with high-volume transactional environments.
• Track record of developing low-latency, highly available and scalable solutions.
• Knowledge of dashboards and good practices around the monitoring stack.
• Capability to manage multiple projects with independent deadlines and deliverables.
• Competence in working with Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance real-time streaming and data platform services.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure management, release automation and testing.
• Build and maintain scalable, low-latency data processing components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Assist testing teams during QA and performance testing.
