Favia is seeking a senior data platform lead to head the streaming and data platform layer, designing systems to move, transform, and serve data in real time across trading, analytics, and product systems.

You will own the architecture for high-volume data stacks using Spark, Kafka, Iceberg, RisingWave, and Apache Flink, and drive AI-powered automation and self-healing infrastructure while mentoring a team of senior engineers.

Competenze

• 8+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams (3+ years).
• Strong cloud data lake experience with AWS offerings.

Mansioni

• Lead and grow a team of senior data platform engineers building real-time streaming infrastructure.
• Own architecture and roadmap for high-volume, low-latency data systems (Spark, Kafka, Iceberg, RisingWave, Flink).
• Design and operate scalable data architecture serving trading, risk, compliance, analytics, and product teams.
• Drive AI-powered automation and intelligent workflows across data stacks.
• Partner with ML/AI, analytics, and product teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Evolve data-lake and warehouse architecture to support batch and streaming workloads.
• Set technical direction balancing reliability, velocity, and cost at scale.
• Hire, mentor, and retain top engineers to build a culture of ownership.
