Job summary

QC Legal in London seeks an established Real Estate Partner to lead data centre transactions for investors, developers, operators and funds. You will advise on acquisitions, disposals, development and financing, and play a central role in cross-disciplinary mandates across Planning, Construction, Energy and Corporate.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on acquisitions, disposals and development of data centre sites across the UK.
  • Support investors, developers, operators and funders on complex real estate transactions within the digital infrastructure sector.
  • Structure and negotiate property arrangements for large-scale development projects, including strategic land acquisitions and site assembly.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Construction, Energy, Finance and Corporate colleagues on multi-disciplinary mandates.
  • Advise clients on the real estate aspects of financing transactions, joint ventures and investment structures.
  • Build lasting relationships with organisations operating across the digital infrastructure market and expand the firm's client base.
  • Lead and develop a talented team, providing strategic direction and mentoring the next generation of real estate lawyers.
  • Play a central role in strengthening the firm's presence within the evolving data centre sector.

Our client is at the forefront of this evolution, advising investors, developers, operators and financial institutions on the property aspects of complex data centre projects throughout the UK and internationally. Combining sector knowledge with a multidisciplinary approach, the London team works closely with specialists across Construction, Planning, Energy, Finance and Corporate to support clients from site acquisition through to development, financing and operation. The Opportunity


  • Advise on the acquisition, disposal and development of data centre sites across the UK.

  • Support investors, developers, operators and funders on complex real estate transactions within the digital infrastructure sector.

  • An established Real Estate Partner with a proven track record advising investors, developers, operators and funders on complex data centre transactions.

  • A strong track record acting for investors, developers, operators or financial institutions on development-led real estate matters.

  • Strong technical expertise covering acquisitions, disposals, development and investment transactions.

  • An established network of industry contacts and a demonstrable ability to develop new business opportunities.

  • A commercially focused leader who enjoys building client relationships and developing high-performing teams.
