Job summary

CMS UK is seeking a Supervisor to join our Legal Services Unit on a 9‑month fixed-term contract, based in either our Manchester or Sheffield office. You will lead and support a team of Assistant Paralegals and Paralegals delivering legal support on high-volume English and Scottish electricity network land rights matters.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' Real Estate experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Review and allocation of client instructions; map team capacity to allocate work.
• Track progress and update instructing lawyers on matter status.
• Provide first-line supervision and quality assurance across the workstream.
• Maintain data rooms and trackers for timely progression of matters.
• Handle conflict requests and matter opening promptly.
• Attend weekly client update calls.
• Assist with recruitment and on-boarding of new starters.
• Manage a sub-team of paralegals, holidays, sickness, training needs and appraisals.
• Oversee financials: time recording, balances and WIP processes.
