Job summary

Field Seymour Parkes LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its Real Estate team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience in a leading commercial law firm, working with experienced lawyers on a broad range of high-quality real estate matters.

Responsibilities

• Open new files and perform client due diligence and KYC procedures.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, legal documents and attendance notes.
• Conduct legal research and property-related searches.
• Manage electronic documents, databases and records.
• Assist with document reviews, proofreading and production.
• Support transaction management and completion processes.
• Liaise with clients, agents and other third parties.
• Assist with billing, time recording and other admin tasks.
• Support business development activities and client events.

This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a leading commercial law firm, working alongside experienced lawyers on a broad range of high-quality real estate matters. You will play an important role in supporting the team while developing your legal knowledge and practical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working under the supervision of qualified lawyers, you will assist with a variety of commercial property and real estate matters, providing both legal and administrative support to ensure transactions progress efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening new files and undertaking client due diligence and Know Your Client (KYC) procedures
• Preparing correspondence, reports, legal documents and attendance notes
• Conducting legal research and property-related searches
• Managing and maintaining electronic documents, databases and records
• Assisting with document reviews, proof-reading and document production
• Supporting transaction management and completion processes
• Liaising with clients, agents and other third parties
• Assisting with billing, time recording and other administrative processes
• Supporting business development activities and client events where required
