Job summary

Field Seymour Parkes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its Real Estate team in Reading. This role offers hands-on experience supporting lawyers on a broad range of commercial property matters, with emphasis on due diligence, document preparation and transactional support.

You will work under qualified lawyers, develop legal knowledge, collaborate with clients and third parties, and benefit from ongoing training and a supportive culture in a leading commercial law firm.

Qualifications

  • Degree with minimum 2:1 (preferred).
  • Genuine interest in Real Estate and Commercial Property law.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player and strong client service focus.

Responsibilities

  • Open new files and conduct KYC procedures.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and documents.
  • Conduct legal research and property searches.
  • Manage electronic documents and records.
  • Assist with document reviews and production.
  • Support transaction management and completion.
  • Liaise with clients, agents and third parties.
  • Assist with billing, time recording and admin.
  • Support business development activities and client events.

Paralegal - Real Estate

Field Seymour Parkes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its highly regarded Real Estate team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a leading commercial law firm, working alongside experienced lawyers on a broad range of high-quality real estate matters. You will play an important role in supporting the team while developing your legal knowledge and practical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working under the supervision of qualified lawyers, you will assist with a variety of commercial property and real estate matters, providing both legal and administrative support to ensure transactions progress efficiently.

  • Opening new files and undertaking client due diligence and Know Your Client (KYC) procedures
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, legal documents and attendance notes
  • Conducting legal research and property-related searches
  • Managing and maintaining electronic documents, databases and records
  • Assisting with document reviews, proofreading and document production
  • Supporting transaction management and completion processes
  • Liaising with clients, agents and other third parties
  • Assisting with billing, time recording and other administrative processes
  • Supporting business development activities and client events where required
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree (minimum 2:1 preferred)
  • Has a genuine interest in Real Estate and Commercial Property law
  • Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Has strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
