Job Description

Our customer, a leading law firm, is looking for an experienced Property Lawyer to join on a 6-month contract, with a secondment to a major national infrastructure client. The successful candidate will support complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on land assembly and post-consent delivery stages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise on property matters related to infrastructure schemes following planning consent and Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) confirmation.
  • Support site assembly, including negotiation and completion of land acquisition agreements, easements, and related land rights.
  • Collaborate with internal legal and project teams to ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure projects across multiple locations.
  • Manage risk and provide practical legal advice to stakeholders in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Qualified solicitor or equivalent with proven experience in property law.
  • Strong background in infrastructure project delivery, particularly post-planning and post-CPO stages.
  • Experience advising on land assembly, acquisitions, and statutory land rights for utilities or large-scale development projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
