Job summary

A leading market-aligned ALSP is seeking experienced Real Estate Finance Lawyers for a 12-month assignment in the UK, particularly Birmingham. Applicants should possess over 5 years' PQE, excellent drafting skills, and be prepared to work in a hybrid environment, based at various offices. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Excellent private practice experience at top firms.
  • Ability to lead transactions and supervise junior lawyers.

Job description

We are currently working closely with a market-leading ALSP that is looking to connect with experienced Real Estate Finance Lawyers with upwards of 5 years' PQE, who will be available for a 12 month assignment with a leading international firm. The assignment is due to start ASAP and will follow a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week in the office. The assignment can be tied to either the London, Birmingham, Manchester or Cardiff office.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor (England and Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction, such as Australia and/or New Zealand, for example)
  • Upwards of 5 years' PQE in handling a full real estate finance caseload
  • Excellent private practice experience gained at magic circle, silver circle, US or international firms
  • The ability to draft and review LMA Real Estate Finance Facility Agreements
  • Experience in negotiating security/ancillary finance documents in respect of real estate finance transactions
  • Experience in development finance transactions would be ideal, but not a prerequisite
  • Prior experience in supervising more junior lawyers would be highly beneficial
  • The ability to lead on transactions
  • Notable organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple transactions at the same time and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice
