Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Real Estate Finance with 4–8 PQE to handle sophisticated financing transactions for lenders and borrowers. The role spans domestic and cross-border deals, using LMA-style documents and strong technical know-how.

You will work within a globally connected team, contributing to precedents, technology-enabled workflows, and business development while maintaining day-to-day client exposure across sectors.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years’ PQE in an international or leading domestic law firm.
• Experience managing finance transactions from start to finish.
• Strong technical skills across LMA-style loan and intercreditor documentation.
• Understanding of financial covenants, security packages, and UK law.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team on multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Organised and adaptable, with confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to innovation and openness to legal technology developments.
• Commercial awareness and proactive approach to building client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise lenders and borrowers on real estate finance transactions across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.
• Contribute to cross-border, multi-jurisdictional matters and marketing initiatives.
• Work with colleagues across Europe and internationally on complex financing deals.
• Develop deep precedents and leverage AI-driven tools to deliver client value.
