An established UK law firm with a national presence is seeking a talented Real Estate Associate to join its expanding Manchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial property lawyer to join a highly regarded, growing real estate team working across a diverse range of high-profile and complex matters.
About the Team The firm’s nationally recognised real estate practice comprises over 150 lawyers across 13 UK offices. The Manchester team handles a broad spectrum of commercial property matters including development, investment, fund management, and property finance. Clients range from commercial landlords and tenants to developers, investors, and public sector bodies, with particular sector strength in retail, leisure, local government, and higher education.
About the Role Due to sustained client demand, the Manchester team is looking for a proactive and client-focused Associate with 1–3 years’ PQE. The successful candidate will manage a busy and varied caseload, support senior team members, and contribute to business development activities. You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-quality matters and gain exposure to complex transactions across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality legal advice and excellent client service across a range of commercial real estate matters.
Manage matters independently where appropriate, while supporting senior colleagues on larger transactions.
Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and financial management in line with firm targets.
Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives.
Keep technical knowledge up to date and commit to personal and professional development.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
About You Qualified solicitor with 1–3 years' PQE in commercial real estate, ideally gained from a reputable regional or City firm.
Demonstrable experience in managing or assisting on transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, leases, development agreements, or property finance.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients’ industries and objectives.
Proficient in using legal tech tools, case management systems, and Microsoft Office.
Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
