Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is recruiting Work Capability Assessment (WCA) Functional Assessors in Gloucester for Serco. Hybrid working is offered with a structured, fully paid training programme to develop assessment and report-writing skills.

The role involves evaluating how health conditions affect work-related activities and producing detailed reports to support DWP decisions. Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with full training and clear progression.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' post-registration clinical experience in an adult setting.
• Current, active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Strong communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Good IT skills and the ability to manage a caseload and meet quality and productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting telephone, video and face-to-face assessments.
• Reviewing medical evidence, clinical histories and supporting documentation.
• Exploring how physical and mental health conditions affect an individual's functional ability.
• Using clinical knowledge to assess complex cases and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Producing accurate, detailed and objective reports for the DWP.

You’ll assess how physical and mental health conditions affect an individual's ability to work or undertake work‑related activities, helping the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) make informed decisions.

What will you be doing?
