Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a Concrete Batcher to join a well-established construction materials company. This hands-on role involves coordinating orders, batch and dispatching ready-mix concrete, logging information, and maintaining stock to ensure timely deliveries.

Full training will be provided and a full driving licence is required. The position starts at 6am with time-and-a-half after 45 hours; every other Saturday may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/haulage or ready-mix concrete environments.
• Knowledge of ready-mix concrete, aggregates and bulk haulage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders, batch and dispatch ready-mix concrete safely and efficiently.
• Monitor material stock levels and arrange replenishment.
• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance checks and housekeeping.
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate records using company systems.
• Liaise with internal teams to coordinate deliveries and material movements.
• Maintain compliance with BSI standards and company procedures.
