Job Overview

The Laurel Academy is seeking a Reading Tutor to join our team in September 2025 on a casual, as-and-when-required basis.

Your role

As a Tutor, you will support identified students, either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.

Hours: Casual, as required

Your school

The Laurel Academy is an 11 to 16 school with 800 pupils serving Mexborough and surrounding areas. Established in 1904, it boasts notable alumni including Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. Mexborough is an ex-mining town with a strong community spirit and excellent pupil behaviour. In April 2023, Ofsted rated our school as ‘Good’ in all areas.
