Job summary

Academics is partnering with several high-achieving secondary schools in Reading to recruit Teaching Assistants who will support pupils and teachers within busy classrooms. The role involves assisting with lesson preparation, working with individuals or small groups, reinforcing learning, and promoting positive behaviour in line with school policy.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, at a secondary school in Reading, with a September start.

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Supporting individuals or small groups who require extra support
• Reinforce learning by explaining tasks and concepts
• Encourage students to maintain focus
• Support students outside the classroom where necessary
• Promoting positive behaviour in line with the school's policy
