Job summary

Mencap is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for our team in York (Pocklington area). You’ll assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to people with learning disabilities, helping them live more independently.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and flexibility for shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A DBS check and references are required, with a part-time 30-hour per week arrangement in a setting offering varied, person-centered care.

Shift times:

All our services 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

Days: Between 07:00-22:00

Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
