Aramark UK at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, YO32 5SW, is hiring a Food Service Assistant to deliver friendly service to customers.

You’ll serve food and drinks, keep front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean, restock items, and follow food hygiene procedures. Full training provided; 18+ and eligibility to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Previous experience in food service is a bonus but not essential; full training provided.
• Must be 18+.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required).
• Basic numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery.
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas (tables and chairs).
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services.
• Restock goods and ensure displays are appealing.
• Report feedback, complaints, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards to line manager.
• Perform daily paperwork.
• Keep diligent records as required.
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

What you’ll do:

As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas(tables and chairs)
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Keeps diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for:

• A friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided
• Must be 18+
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required)
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Own or reliable transport required due to remote location and limited public transport
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
