Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking a Bank Housekeeper at Madley Park House, Witney. You will help keep residents’ rooms and shared spaces clean, tidy, and well maintained, contributing to a safe, welcoming home.

Training is provided, and you’ll join a compassionate team dedicated to high hygiene standards in a supported elderly care setting. Weekend shifts carry enhanced pay and you’ll be part of a friendly residential community.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in care settings preferred; training provided.

ABOUT OUR ROLE

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy and maintained at all times. A champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, you’ll have access to specialised equipment and materials to ensure you can create a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families. Some of our residents love to join in with simple cleaning and laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines. In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, as well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes. Madley Park House is a warm and welcoming 'home from home' offering round the clock residential, early-stage dementia and respite care with a range of amenities including a hair salon and residents' shop. Situated in a quiet location in the thriving market town of Witney, the home has strong links to the local community.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. If you’ve worked in a housekeeping role before, then that’s great as you’ll have a good idea of what to expect. But if housekeeping as a profession is new to you, then don’t worry – we’ll provide all the training you need to start your new career with us.
