Job summary

OSJCT Group is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join Meadowcroft Care Home in Thame, Oxfordshire. You will help maintain cleanliness across resident rooms and common areas, and support laundry tasks as part of daily routines.

You’ll work with a caring team to ensure a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for residents, families and colleagues. Training is provided where needed, and weekend enhancements apply where available.

Qualifications

• Comfortable in an elderly care setting and able to relate to residents with care and sensitivity.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; training will be provided for new staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in rooms and living spaces.
• Assist with laundry tasks as required.
• Support hygiene and infection control within the home.

Location: Meadowcroft Care Home, Thame, Oxfordshire

Pay Rate: £13.14 Per Hour (Weekend Enhancement Available)

Contracted Hours: 0 Hours per week (Bank)

Shift Pattern:7:00am - 1:00pm or 1:00pm - 7:00pm

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy and maintained at all times. A champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, you’ll have access to specialised equipment and materials to ensure you can create a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families. Some of our residents love to join in with simple cleaning and laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines.

Meadowcroft is located in a quiet, residential street on Queens Road just a short distance from Thame town centre. The home offers compassionate, high-quality residential, respite dementia, nursing and day care for up to 71 residents in homely and comfortable surroundings.
