Job summary

Agincare Group is seeking a Registered Manager for a new not-for-profit children’s LD residential home in Wimborne, Dorset. You will lead a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive service development from the ground up.

The ideal candidate has Level 5 leadership qualifications, at least 3 years in residential care with managerial experience, and strong safeguarding/Ofsted knowledge. Experience with LD disabilities and opening new services is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in children’s residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children’s services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and related documentation to meet The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Experience of supporting children and young people with LD disabilities that can sometimes display complex behaviours.
• Leading Ofsted home inspections.
• Experience opening new services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the children’s home and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Act as corporate parent to the children in care, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Set up and develop the new service while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and supervision to staff to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

Registered Manager

The successful applicant will lead, manage and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, while acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for, helping, supporting and ensuring they thrive in their day to day lives.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the children’s home supporting children and young people with LD disabilities and other additional complex needs. As an experienced manager you can confidently lead a dedicated team, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all to thrive. You will play a key role in setting up and developing this new service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
