Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke, part of the Cygnet group, is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, accurate nursing assessments, and timely medication administration within an emergency admissions setting.

You will work under NMC guidelines, participate in audits, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service. An active NMC pin and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have RMN with active NMC pin.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices.
• Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits.
• Able to deputise in a clinical lead role.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to develop the service, audit and improve quality.
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
• Ensure care plans are complete and maintained with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following Healthcare guidelines.

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet Kewstoke.

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist servicefor personality disorder.

£24.11 per hour.

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

You are…

• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN with a current Pin Number
• Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
• Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
