Welwyn Grange is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Driver to ensure our buildings and facilities are well maintained and operate smoothly and safely at all times. The role focuses on routine maintenance tasks that can be done without contractors, with experience in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry an advantage.

You will respond to maintenance issues, assist residents with transport, and maintain a positive and respectful demeanor toward staff, residents and the public.

Job description

We are recruiting for a full time Maintenance/Driver to ensure that the buildings and facilities at Welwyn Grange are well maintained and operate smoothly and safely at all times.

Responsible for ensuring our high standards are maintained, our residents' wellbeing, comfort and safety will be at the heart of everything you do.

The role will involve maintaining the building in terms of routine tasks that can be conducted without the use of contractors, therefore a professional experience of plumbing, electrical, carpentry etc would be an advantage, as would previous experience in professional facilities maintenance environment.

Some of the main duties will include:

• To respond efficiently and appropriately to maintenance and repairs issues as they arise
• To provide the utmost care, consideration, respect and companionship to our residents whilst transporting them to and from their destinations
• To present a positive and engaging attitude towards our staff, residents, their families and the public in general
