Perfect Placement UK Ltd with a reputable independent garage in Thirsk is seeking an experienced Specialist Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team. The role focuses on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and specialised vehicle work in a professional environment.

The successful candidate will work with modern equipment and benefit from a supportive team, with a basic salary up to £38,000 and a weekday schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am–5:30 pm) including a lunch break, plus a referral bonus

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair/Technician or equivalent.
• Proven experience working within a garage or main dealership environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own set of tools for vehicle repairs.
• Experience in retrofitting, engine modifications, tuning, or race work preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, diagnostics, and servicing on various vehicles as a Vehicle Technician
• Undertake major engine and electrical system repairs
• Conduct detailed diagnostic checks to identify faults
• Inspect vehicles for general wear and tear
• Execute advanced tasks such as tuning, retrofitting, and engineering modifications
• Complete complex repairs for high-performance and specialised vehicles as a Vehicle Technician
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of workmanship

• No weekend work; Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour for lunch
