Could you be the best part of someone's week?
Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Community Companion to join a well-established service supporting clients across Swansea, working one-to-one or as part of a small, friendly team.
Each individual has a sensory impairment, and your support could include providing companionship, accompanying them to appointments, helping with post and calls, attending social groups, visiting cafés, assisting with shopping, or taking part in other activities and outings. No personal care or medication support is required. Support is usually provided on weekdays between 9.30am and 4.30pm, across 12 hours a week. This could suit a university student looking to build experience for their chosen career, or anyone after flexible work that fits around their current commitments. Pay is £13.00 per hour.
BSL is desirable but not essential. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel throughout Swansea is part of the role.
