Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton seeks a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist for a Band 7 locum role in the Haematology laboratory. You will supervise day-to-day operations to ensure a timely, accurate, and high-quality analytical service.

You will lead rotations, supervise rotas, and support staff development through training, competency assessment and appraisal, deputising for the Haematology Lead when required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Degree in Biomedical Sciences required.
• Full UK right to work required.

About you:

Are you a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist seeking a rewarding locum position in Sutton? As part of the team at Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, you will supervise the day to day operation of the Haematology laboratory, ensuring a timely, accurate, and high quality analytical service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Haematology and BT seniors, coordinating rotations and training depending individual development, service requirements and user needs.
• Leadership & Supervision Supervise staff rotas, workflow, and daily huddles. Deputise for the Haematology Lead when required. Support staff development through training, competency assessment, and appraisal.

Essential Qualifications:

We are looking for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with:

HCPC registration

Degree in Biomedical Sciences

Full UK right to work.

Access to Health Assured (mental health and wellbeing support).

First access to shifts with the ability to block book shifts in advance.
