This role suits a senior clinical leader aiming for Deputy Head of Clinical Services (Deputy Matron). You will assist the Head of Clinical Services (Matron) in driving excellence in safety and quality of care. The Deputy Head of Clinical Services will support daily operational management in line with best practices, requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Effective communication is crucial for influencing and challenging practices at all levels. You will help implement meaningful changes to patient pathways and ensure they are integrated into the service. Acting as a lead for all specialties, you will provide expert advice to nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, taking on the Head of Clinical Services' duties in their absence. A broad knowledge base is needed for quality governance, incident management, and data analysis. The Deputy HOCS will handle data reports, incident reporting, and support the Head of Clinical Services with clinical governance and ICB report requirements. Primarily based at Stourside Hospital, you will provide on-site leadership and clinical assurance.
