Job summary

Plane Tree Court Care Home in Stockport, Greater Manchester, is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join our team. You will perform daily cleaning, laundry, and maintain high hygiene standards across bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, supporting residents and staff with a safe, comfortable environment.

The role is permanent and part-time (33 hours/week) at £12.71 per hour. Training and development opportunities are available, with potential NVQ progression within our multi-site care group and

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or care home cleaning preferred.
• Ability to follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Reliable and hands-on with a practical approach to cleaning and laundry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Respond promptly to spillages and other cleaning needs as they arise.
• Undertake laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and storage of linen and residents' clothing.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and the safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Maintain cleaning schedules and records in line with home procedures.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored and used safely.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards identified while carrying out cleaning duties.
• Support the wider care team in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.
• Assist with the disposal of waste, including clinical waste, per home policy.

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Housekeeper to help keep Plane Tree Court clean, safe and comfortable for the residents and staff who call it home.

The Role

As our Housekeeper, you'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout Plane Tree Court. You'll carry out daily cleaning and laundry duties, follow infection prevention and control procedures, and help ensure the home meets health and safety standards — playing an important behind-the-scenes role in the comfort and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
