Job summary

Landmarc is seeking a Gas & Heating Maintenance Technician to service and repair gas, heating and plumbing systems across the Defence Training Estate. You will perform landlord safety visits, install and fix equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards in a dynamic military environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in gas installation, Gas Safe and OFTEC qualifications, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Domestic and Commercial Natural Gas Installation.
• Gas Safe and OFTEC qualifications.
• Experience maintaining and repairing domestic and commercial gas and heating systems.
• Sound knowledge of plumbing and heating systems.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements including COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• CWST Cleaning and Disinfection qualification.
• Knowledge of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including Air Handling Units.
• IOSH Working Safely qualification.
• Additional domestic or commercial gas and heating qualifications.
• Previous Authorised Person (AP) experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and install gas, heating and domestic plumbing systems.
• Complete certification, service records and work orders accurately and on time.
• Liaise with customers, tenants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Participate in an on-call rota and respond to operational requirements outside normal working hours.
• Undertake Authorised Person (AP) responsibilities where appropriate.
• Travel to regional sites and operate company vehicles as required.
• Maintain technical competence through ongoing training and professional development.
• Support the delivery of a comprehensive heating, gas and plumbing maintenance service across the estate.
