Job summary

Technetc Ltd. is seeking an IT Quality & Testing Specialist to join our technology team. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring software quality and performance across platforms while collaborating with developers, analysts and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes QA methodologies, test automation and continuous improvement, with hybrid or remote options and a salary in the £41k–£44k range. You will contribute to quality metrics, risk reduction and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field is required.
• Proven software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and tools.
• Experience with test automation
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs and CI/CD tools
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with test automation, performance or security testing.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain test plans, cases and scripts (manual and automated).
• Conduct functional, regression, integration and UAT testing.
• Identify, log and track defects; work with developers for fixes.
• Support CI/CD processes with automated testing.
• Ensure QA best practices and documentation standards.
• Prepare and present test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Education

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across systems and platforms.
• Identify, log, and track defects; work collaboratively with development teams for timely resolution.
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes with automated testing.
• Ensure compliance with QA best practices, policies, and documentation standards.
• Prepare and present test reports, quality metrics, and insights to project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Postman, TestRail, or Cypress.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with test automation, performance, or security testing.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
